Abraham Joshua Heschel School in New York, NY seeks a senior technology leader to oversee all technology, cybersecurity, and data governance aligned with the school’s mission. The role directs strategic planning, system modernization, and cross-department collaboration to support teaching and operations.

The position reports to the Head of School, leads a small technology team, and shapes initiatives for infrastructure, classroom tech, and vendor management in a dynamic, independent education

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced coursework preferred.
• Significant experience leading technology functions and supervising technology professionals.
• Experience developing long-term technology strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Broad expertise across technology operations: infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, data management, project management, end-user services.
• Experience evaluating emerging technologies, including AI, and translating strategy into implementation.

Responsabilités

• Provide executive oversight of Heschel’s technology environment, including infrastructure, enterprise systems, databases, cybersecurity, audiovisual technology, automation, and end-user services.
• Advance Heschel’s cybersecurity program with focus on data protection, IAM, vulnerability management, incident response, continuity, and user awareness.
• Develop data governance, privacy, security, access, and integration practices to protect information and support decision-making.
• Guide long-term technology planning and investment, improving workflows, integration, and automation.
