Job summary

Sentio Executive Search is retained to fill a Group CTO role for a Fortune 500 industrial group in Chicago. The incoming CTO will own technology strategy across engineering, digital products, cloud, data and AI, modernising a $10B+ business and turning technology into a competitive advantage.

Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Group Executive Committee, the CTO will lead a 700+ person engineering and technology organisation across the US, EMEA and APAC, and partner with the CEO, CFO and CDO

Qualifications

• Standing CTO / SVP Engineering of a $2B+ business with software-product and enterprise-IT scope.
• Hands-on background in cloud architecture, data platforms and AI/ML at scale.
• Experience modernising legacy estates: cloud migration, monolith decomposition, platform engineering.
• Proven leader of 500+ engineers across geographies with succession planning.
• Board-level communicator translating technology strategy into shareholder value.
