Job summary

The role oversees IT infrastructure, data systems, cybersecurity, and digital learning, guiding staff development and strategic planning to enhance teaching and learning while ensuring data privacy and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Technology, Information Systems, Leadership, or related field (required)
• 5-10 years of leadership experience in educational technology or IT management; K-12 experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning and system implementation
• Deep understanding of instructional technology integration, IT infrastructure, data systems, analytics, interoperability, cybersecurity and data privacy practices
• Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Vision: Develop and articulate a clear vision for the use of technology to support teaching, learning, and district operations
• Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive district technology plan
• Instructional Leadership & Professional Learning: Partner with curriculum and instructional leaders to integrate technology
• Technology Operations & Infrastructure: Oversee all IT systems, network infrastructure, devices lifecycle
• Data Management, Privacy, and Security: Establish data collection, analysis, reporting; ensure regulatory compliance
• Communication Systems: Oversee digital communication platforms; ensure secure and compliant
• Team Leadership and Capacity Building: Build and lead a high-performing technology team
• Business and Financial Management: Develop and manage technology budget; oversee procurement
• Ethics, Policy, and Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements; promote equity and accessibility
