Job summary

AXA XL is seeking a Chief Technology Infrastructure & Product Engineering Officer to lead the Technology & AI function, overseeing end-to-end technology delivery and operational performance to drive business growth and customer experience.

This executive will guide product engineering, platforms, cloud, architecture, security, and service management, reporting to the Chief Technology & AI Officer, and partnering with global teams to raise standards and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year technology and engineering strategy aligned to enterprise business priorities.
• Lead the evolution toward modern digital architecture, cloud-native platforms, and API-led ecosystems.
• Ensure technology investment decisions are outcome-led and measurable.
• Lead the product engineering function across the enterprise, ensuring high-performing product teams deliver value at pace.
• Drive product engineering disciplines including agile delivery, engineering standards, reusable components, and secure by design architectures.
• Partner with leadership to ensure technology execution supports product vision and roadmap.
• Oversee major transformation programs (core modernization, platform build, digital journeys, embedded AI).
• Ensure robust program governance, delivery confidence, and transparent executive reporting.
• Build enterprise-grade platform capabilities (cloud, integration, data, identity, observability).
• Own DevOps, CI/CD, automation, SRE and embedded AI capabilities for resilient production operations.
• Drive service management and incident/change/release governance with measurable SLAs/XLAs.
• Embed AI in software engineering with governance and quality control.
• Manage technology budgeting, vendor strategy, and investment governance.
