Job summary

AV seeks a Chief Engineer, Systems to serve as a technical liaison among Engineering, PM, Operations, and Supply Chain. You will oversee a portfolio of engineering projects and drive them to completion within the design and development team led by the Director of Engineering.

The role emphasizes collaboration with senior leadership and customers, with strong focus on cost, schedule, and performance. Travel up to 25% and involvement with ITAR compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).
• 15 years of experience in an engineering design or development environment.
• 3 years of project management experience (PMP or CAPM a plus).
• Experience with integrating new capabilities onto platforms with flow-down of requirements.
• Experience planning schedules, budgets, and resources.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates customer requirements, analyzes impact on cost, schedule, and performance.
• Contributes to new product requirements with Program Managers and customers.
• Reviews proposals, specifications, and ICDs for feasibility and alignment.
• Defines system requirements and generates product/sub-system specifications.
• Prepares technical proposals, cost estimates, and resource plans.
