Realta Fusion Inc. is seeking the Head of Systems Engineering to lead the systems engineering function for its fusion hardware program.

You will set technical requirements, drive system integration, and ensure performance, safety, and operability from experimental devices through to commercial deployment. The role requires deep expertise in complex system architecture, MBSE, vessel integration, and multidisciplinary collaboration across plasma physics, mechanical, electrical, nuclear, and

Competenze

• BS in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years in complex hardware programs with multidisciplinary integration.
• 5+ years leading systems engineering teams or as chief engineer.
• Proven track record from requirements through commissioning.

Mansioni

• Define and maintain system architecture across experimental to commercial lines.
• Establish and manage technical requirements from physics to safety and regulatory constraints.
• Lead decomposition and allocate requirements to subsystems.
• Develop and maintain interface control documents across subsystems.
• Drive design trades balancing performance, cost, schedule and risk.
• Oversee system integration ensuring subsystems meet top-level requirements.
• Define verification and validation strategy including testing and demonstration.
• Oversee commissioning and acceptance testing of fusion devices.
• Lead technical reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR) for design maturity.
• Grow and mentor the systems engineering team (2-3 start, to 8-12).
• Establish processes, tools, and best practices for fusion development.
• Recruit engineers with experience in complex hardware integration.
