Job Description

PotomacWave is looking for a Chief Systems Engineer/Architect to join our team supporting a Federal client in Frederick, MD. This position leads a small team and follows a hybrid schedule with three (3) days on-site per week. The ideal candidate will bring technical skills, analytical skills, an ability to maintain quality service standards, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Capability Implementation Plans based on DoD Instruction 5000.75.
• Develop, refine, and execute full lifecycle support to ensure project success, including systems engineering and cyber activities at the PMO level.
• Manage and coordinate overall project support activities, ensuring development is achievable within schedules and coordinating with external entities.
• Develop, implement, and execute the Project Sustainment Plan, leveraging input from vendors and managing critical infrastructure hosting all products and capabilities.
• Oversee governance and systems engineering processes to track and control IT resources and services, maintaining consistency with requirements, design, and operational information throughout the system's lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with at least 7 years of professional experience supporting IT or related fields.
• Knowledge of systems engineering best practices and lifecycle.
• Experience with cloud-based systems.
• Proficiency in strategic planning and development.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with positive interpersonal skills.
• Must have a Public Trust clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000.
