CCV is seeking a Chief Strategy Officer to unite our messaging and relationship-building under one strategic vision, driving growth and public influence. This full-time, exempt role is based at the CCV Office in Columbus, Ohio, with statewide travel expected and reporting to the CFO/COO.

Responsibilities include shaping long-term strategies, leading advancement and communications, guiding donor engagement, and ensuring all outreach reflects CCV’s Christian values and policy priorities.

• 10+ years of executive leadership experience in nonprofit development, sales, or marketing oversight.
• Ability to translate organizational goals into actionable plans.
• Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) is a pivotal executive role designed to integrate and elevate our outward-facing operations. By uniting our messaging and our relationship-building efforts under one strategic vision, the CSO will drive organizational growth, increase our public influence, and ensure we have the resources necessary to advance our mission.

Reports to: CFO/COO

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Compensation: Full-time, Salaried/Exempt

Location: CCV Office in Columbus, Ohio, with Statewide Travel expected

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

• Collaborate with the President and leadership team to create and implement long-term strategies that grow the organization's impact and revenue.
• Proactively identify key programs, initiatives, and reports and prepare media campaigns to highlight the work and achievements of the organization.
• Identify innovative avenues to engage and activate our current supporters while aggressively identifying and capturing new demographic segments.
• Set KPIs for Communications and Advancement to align both teams toward shared revenue and growth goals.

Advancement & Revenue Generation

• Assist President with key relationship management.
• Lead Advancement operations in executing data-driven donor engagement strategies for long-term transactional and transformational impact.
• Guide Advancement staff in managing the donor pipeline, empowering Officers to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major partners.
• Cultivate a culture of philanthropy and proactive relationship building, applying sales-level discipline to donor growth while preserving our ministry focus.

Communications & Marketing

• Oversee the Communications department across its two functions: Internal Communications and Marketing
• Oversee the Marketing team to create faith-driven campaigns that advance policy, shape public discourse, and generate leads for Advancement.
• Direct Internal Communications to ensure timely completion of all internal and divisional communications projects
• Ensure all internal and external communications authentically reflect our Christian values and policy objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of executive leadership experience, preferably with a blend of nonprofit development, corporate sales, and marketing/communications oversight.
• Proven ability to synthesize complex organizational goals into actionable departmental strategies.
• Demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary teams, particularly high-performing sales/development officers and creative marketing professionals.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Character and Spiritual

• Mature Christian, currently attending or pursuing attendance in a local church.
• Agreement with and adherence to CCV’s Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.
• Demonstrated commitment to CCV’s mission and position on Core Issues.
• Ability to work discreetly with confidential information.
• Trustworthy, responsible, tactful, diplomatic, and focused on building consensus rather than emphasizing differences.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism focused on client/constituent relationships.
