RAND is a nonprofit research organization headquartered in Santa Monica. We seek an Executive Director to serve as RAND’s Chief Security Officer, leading the 55-person S&CO organization and overseeing all classified capabilities and security programs.

The role requires establishing capabilities for high‑performance computing, AI-enabled research, and cross‑office collaboration with government sponsors. This leadership position reports to the Senior Vice President, CFO/COO.

Formación

• 10+ years in security, classified support, and IT leadership.
• Experience managing budgets and leading large teams.
• Strong ability to align security with mission needs.

Responsabilidades

• Set vision, strategy, goals, and execution priorities for the department.
• Ensure compliant, robust security policies and classified computing.
• Direct risk management, insider threat, and incident response efforts.
• Serve as security liaison to government sponsors and partners.
