Job summary

Aspire NorCal is hiring a Chief Schools Officer to serve as the senior instructional leader for 22 schools across Northern California. You will report to the CEO and supervise educators and administrators implementing Aspire NorCal’s instructional program.

You will guide curriculum, instruction and assessment through principals and leadership teams, drive enterprise strategy with senior leaders, and ensure every scholar progresses toward grade-level proficiency and post-secondary readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive instructional leadership, leading multi-site school systems.
• Experience managing principals or leaders of principals.
• Knowledge of TK–12 curriculum and assessment.
• Proven ability to plan, evaluate and implement instructional programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of superintendents and school leaders across multiple sites.
• Lead curriculum and instruction through school leadership teams.
• Shape Aspire NorCal’s strategy and resource decisions with senior leaders.
• Ensure equity and multilingual learner support across all schools.
• Oversee program compliance and data-informed improvement initiatives.
