Maine Township High School District 207 is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for Business who will serve as the District's Chief School Business Official (CSBO) and provide strategic leadership for all financial, operational, and business functions.

The CSBO directs budgeting, accounting and financial reporting, treasury and debt management, purchasing, risk management, employee benefits, facilities planning, transportation, food service, technology infrastructure, and other auxiliary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field required.
• Illinois CSBO endorsement required.
• CPA license and/or IASBO SFO designation preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in school business management or comparable senior fiscal leadership role, with K-12 experience preferred.
• Experience in budget development, long-range forecasting, debt issuance, and capital planning for large organizations.
• Proven leadership and staff management experience including bargaining support and contract administration.
• Strong knowledge of Illinois school finance and business operations, ISBE reporting, GASB, PTELL, and risk management.

Responsabilités

• Provide district-wide vision and leadership for financial and operational strategies.
• Serve as primary staff liaison to the Board of Education's Finance and Buildings & Grounds Committees.
• Develop and oversee annual operating and capital budgets; manage accounting functions and GASB compliance.
• Coordinate external audits, debt issuance, and cash-flow forecasting.
• Direct long-range facilities, capital planning, and procurement; oversee transportation and food service operations.
• Lead risk management, employee benefits, purchasing, and vendor management; mentor staff and support collective bargaining.
• Develop dashboards and financial models to support district decision-making.
