Job summary

Earthmover Credit Union seeks a Director of Risk Management & Compliance to protect members, support staff, and ensure strong governance and risk management. You will lead the CMS and implement an ERM framework aligned with ECU's strategic goals, working with senior leaders and the Board to mitigate operational, strategic, and compliance risks.

The role requires a senior compliance professional with a strategic mindset, collaboration skills, and a track record of building high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in compliance/risk management with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• BSACS or CUCE certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of financial institution laws, regulations, and compliance requirements (BSA/AML, etc.).
• Experience with a CMS and/or Enterprise Risk Management.
• Experience working with examiners and auditors.
• Strong analytical, investigative, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee ECU's CMS, including monitoring, testing, reporting, and corrective action.
• Develop and implement an ERM framework aligned with ECU's goals.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and report on enterprise-wide risks.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to leadership.
• Review compliance policies, procedures, disclosures, and annual policy reviews.
• Prepare and present compliance and risk reports to leadership and the Board.
• Coordinate regulatory examinations and audits.
• Provide guidance for products, services, processes, and initiatives.
• Build and lead a high-performing compliance team.
• Partner with departments to strengthen a culture of compliance.
• Stay current on regulatory requirements and emerging risks.
