Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• FCAS designation required, or comparable actuarial education/designation with relevant experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial management of a P&C business.
• Excellent management and communication skills.
• Ability to participate effectively on the senior management team.
• Strong analytical skills with solid understanding of casualty actuarial techniques, standards, and assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide an independent assessment of the NA reserves and associated reserve risks.
• Ensure use of accurate, sound, and innovative approaches in projecting and setting reserving guidelines.
• Communicate the quarterly reserve analyses to the NA leadership.
• Lead and develop a NA reserving capability that is technical and commercial‑minded.
• Be an inclusive leader committed to mentoring and developing team members.
• Provide proactive insights sought by business leaders.
• Identify key trends and macroeconomic factors impacting the business.
• Collaborate with underwriting, pricing, claims and finance to align views.
• Identify emerging trends and propose corrective actions.
• Apply innovative approaches and leading‑edge tools in analysis.
• Ensure data quality and consistent reserving processes.
• Foster a culture of technical rigor and transparency.
• Execute governance ensuring guidelines are applied and compliant.
