Job summary

George Washington University seeks an Associate Vice President for Research Integrity and Compliance to lead university-wide research compliance programs and enhance integrity across domestic and international activities. This executive will oversee HRPP/IRB, IACUC, IBC, DURC, and export controls, while guiding training and risk management initiatives.

The role reports to the Vice President for Research, collaborates with SPP and IT, and directs a team to ensure policy adherence, quality

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; 10+ years experience.
Minimum 4 years in senior leadership/executive roles.
Master's degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee GW's research compliance programs and committees.
Serve as GW's Research Integrity Officer and Institutional Official designee.
Coordinate programs and strategies to minimize non-compliance risks.
Collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Projects to streamline researcher workflows.
Oversee QA, audits, and post-approval monitoring across research activities.
Engage with national regulators and maintain AAHRPP/AAALAC accreditation.
Develop training resources and oversee Responsible Conduct of Research requirements.
Mediate compliance matters and support external reporting as needed.
