Job summary

Howard University’s Talent Acquisition team seeks a seasoned professional to support the Vice President for Research & Compliance and associated leaders. The role analyzes regulatory requirements for sponsored programs, coordinates budgets, and helps develop policies and procedures across committees.

The position involves budgeting oversight, data collection, and preparation of compliance reports, while partnering with cross-functional teams and maintaining confidentiality in a complex academic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• Ten years of compliance and sponsored programs experience with supervisory responsibilities preferred.
• Certification in research compliance or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience using grant management software and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Identify administrative needs and develop solutions and recommendations.
• Review budgets and prepare recommendations with input from the VPRC/AVPs.
• Oversee the operating budget for the OVPRC and related offices.
• Coordinate templates for publications and visual materials (newsletters, brochures, flyers).
• Review financial terms in contracts and ensure policy compliance.
