Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling, based in Cincinnati, OH, seeks an accomplished Senior VP to lead Recycling & Sustainability. The role is responsible for end-to-end recycling operations, safety, and strategic growth across the network.

You will drive capital planning, commodity strategies, and program design while partnering with executive leadership to advance company goals and community impact.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive leadership in waste management, recycling operations, or environmental services.
• Multi-site operational leadership with full P&L ownership.
• Experience with material recovery facility operations, commodity markets, municipal contracts, and recycling program design.
• Experience leading capital-intensive operational transformation.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred; travel ~50% and valid US work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the recycling line of business end to end: MRF network, capital plan, and commodity value.
• Own safety performance across recycling operations and partner with safety teams.
• Manage facilities with a common operating model for throughput, uptime, and quality.
• Drive automation, technology, and cost-per-ton improvements across the network.
• Set diversion goals and strengthen relationships with municipalities and customers.
• Build a leadership team with ready successors for critical roles.
