Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a Chief Python Software Engineer to join a focused team building an AI-powered financial assistant platform. You will iterate with business users to test and deploy chat, reporting, and bespoke interfaces into investment workflows.

You will collaborate with senior engineers to shape architecture, adopt new languages, and optimize performance, security, and reliability across deliverables in a startup-style environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Python, React (TS), or other programming languages.
• Experience with FastAPI or other Python frameworks, along with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• High autonomy and self-governance in handling loosely defined tasks from requirements gathering to delivery.
• Readiness to work in a startup environment and continuously learn new languages and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small team of engineers in a startup-style environment.
• Gather low-level requirements from high-level task definitions and consider edge cases before implementation.
• Produce system designs and production-grade implementations with high autonomy.
• Monitor AI-assisted code generation and validate quality, latency, and cost in production.
