Job summary

Pennsylvania Convention Center is seeking a Director of Public Safety to lead the Security Services Department. The role directs security operations, develops SOPs, and coordinates with external security teams to protect people and PCC assets.

Under supervision of the Assistant General Manager, the director ensures compliance with safety codes, manages staff, and aligns security with event planning and venue operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice preferred with leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years security/law enforcement experience; 7 years with higher responsibility.
• Hospitality industry experience is helpful.
• Management experience with coaching staff.
• Experience in crowd control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee physical safety of employees, vendors, exhibitors, and attendees.
• Coordinate with Legends Global Security on standards and protocols.
• Develop and write SOPs for the Security Services Department.
• Manage security staff, contractors, and vendors.
• Plan event security with Show/Event security staff.
• Engage with police, fire, and legal entities as needed.
• Oversee daily operations and review incident reports.
