Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, business management, marketing, or related field.
• Extensive experience in local, state, and federal government operations and municipal emergency operations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Researches, plans, and conducts high-level management and public information activities.
• Manages, edits, and distributes the City’s electronic newsletter and social media messaging.
• Plans and coordinates major events and intergovernmental outreach efforts.
• Serves as the City’s Public Information Officer and media liaison; prepares press materials and coordinates conferences.
• Manages integrated marketing campaigns and communicates City programs and priorities.
• Represents the City at community projects and public events.
