Job summary

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities seeks a Clinical Director - Psychiatrist for Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta in DeKalb County. The role leads clinical operations, policy development, budgeting, and strategic planning to improve patient care.

Requirements include a Medical degree (GCMB), licensure or license-eligibility in Georgia, and 3+ years as a Physician 3 or equivalent. Board certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB).
• Licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine in Georgia as provided by state law.
• Three years of experience at the Physician 3 level (HCP162) or position equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, develops and implements related policies and procedures.
• Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the delivery of health services.
• Monitors and evaluates healthcare programs and provides leadership to managers and staff.
• Ensures community health care services are adequate, appropriate, and accessible.
• Participates in budgeting and strategic planning and develops program goals.
