City of SeaTac seeks a Lead Prosecuting Attorney to serve as the City’s primary prosecutor for misdemeanor and gross-misdemeanor criminal cases and select civil matters, including code compliance. The role involves courtroom appearances, trials, and appeals, with leadership of the Criminal Division and collaboration across City departments.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, manage a complex caseload, and uphold professionalism, fairness, and integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Minimum seven (7) years criminal legal experience.
• At least three (3) years prosecution experience required.

Responsabilités

• Lead prosecuting attorney in misdemeanor and gross-m misdemeanor cases and select civil matters for the City.
• Supervise and manage the Criminal Division, providing leadership and ensuring high standards.
• Represent the City in arraignments, trials, appeals, and related proceedings.
• Coordinate with police, court staff, and other city departments on criminal cases.
