Job summary

Center for Hope & Safety in Bergen County, NJ seeks a Chief Program Officer to provide leadership, direction, and management across all client service departments. The role ensures programs are data-driven, integrated with the strategic plan, and compliant with budgets and regulations.

The Chief Program Officer will supervise direct service programs (Hotline, Shelter, Transitional Housing, Community Services, Project CHILD, Legal Services) and coordinate with external partners to maximize safety

Qualifications

• Licensed professional with clinical supervision credentials and MSW or related degree required.
• Experience managing victim services or human services programs preferred.
• Demonstrated grant writing and fundraising capabilities.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct all client service programs and staff to achieve quality outcomes across Hotline, Shelter, Transitional Housing, and Legal Services.
• Foster a client-centered, confidential, inclusive environment.
• Evaluate programs using statistics and outcomes; implement improvements.
• Identify trends and opportunities for new or enhanced programs.
• Oversee procedures aligned with policies and governance; support strategic planning.
• Collaborate on grant applications and compliance with funders.
