Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc. seeks a visionary Chief Privacy Officer to lead privacy, data protection, and governance across the enterprise. This senior role partners with Legal, Compliance, IT, and Security to ensure responsible use of data and AI while maintaining customer trust.

Reporting to senior legal leadership, the CPO will drive privacy by design, regulatory compliance, and governance policies, guiding the organization through evolving global regulations and AI governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• JD required with extensive privacy, data protection, or technology law leadership.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and global data protection laws.
• Experience building enterprise privacy and data governance programs.
• Experience advising executives and governing AI risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise privacy, data protection, and governance program.
• Ensure compliance with global privacy and AI regulations.
• Oversee privacy risk assessments and remediation plans.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, IT, and Security teams.
• Develop policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Chair cross-functional governance committees.
• Guide AI governance and responsible AI program.
• Advise leadership on privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance risks.
• Engage regulators and external stakeholders.
• Lead privacy training and awareness programs.
• Mentor privacy teams and drive cross-functional collaboration.
