Job summary

Intuitive is seeking a Senior Director of Privacy & Data Protection to lead global privacy initiatives and data protection compliance, including AI-related responsibilities, across the globe.

The role requires advising executives, collaborating with engineering, HR, IT, product security, and marketing, and managing in-house and outside counsel to safeguard customer and other personal data while overseeing data licensing and related legal matters.

Qualifications

• Counsel managers, individual contributors, business units, and executives regarding Privacy & Data Protection matters.
• Advise on privacy and data protection laws, including AI.
• Provide data privacy support in the drafting and negotiation of agreements concerning data use, licensing, and sharing.

Responsibilities

• Counsel managers, individual contributors, business units, and executives regarding Privacy & Data Protection matters.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the privacy program and to protect personal information using risk-based approaches.
• Advise executives on privacy laws, including AI, and lead readiness for new regulations.
• Support privacy investigations, remediations, and regulator inquiries.
• Draft and negotiate data-use, data-licensing, data-sharing, M&A and other data-related agreements.
• Manage, mentor, and train junior legal staff; lead cross-functional legal projects.
• Strategically enhance the company’s data protection posture and allocate legal resources efficiently.
