Job summary

Brahma Consulting Group is seeking a founding architecture leader in San Francisco to own the end-to-end platform across frontend, backend, and robot-side software. You will set the technical direction for a fast-moving multi-workstream team and contribute hands-on code in early stages.

The role requires deep experience with consumer/prosumer SaaS, distributed systems, and connected-device architectures at fleet scale, including safety guardrails for agentic software and AI integration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering and ownership of large multi-team systems.
• You write production code regularly and can cite recent commits or PRs.
• Consumer or prosumer SaaS architecture focusing on UX, responsiveness, and cross-platform coherence.
• Connected-device systems at fleet scale with OTA updates, telemetry, and edge-cloud patterns.
• Production agentic systems with guardrails and human-in-the-loop checks.
• Full-stack depth across distributed backends, APIs, real-time comms, data pipelines, and frontend.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the end-to-end platform architecture: robot connectivity and control, fleet management, AI features, data pipelines, and deployment.
• Set technical direction across frontend, backend, robot-side, and infrastructure teams to scale the system.
• Architect AI capabilities integration with proper guardrails, observability, and failure containment for physical robots.
• Define developer- and operator-facing experience to make the platform feel fast and thoughtful.
• Set engineering standards: architecture reviews, API design conventions, testing, and rollout discipline.
• Write and review code directly on critical-path systems, especially in early phases where foundational abstractions matter.
