Job summary

The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) is seeking a Senior Vice President of Human Resources to shape and execute a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with organizational priorities. You will provide strategic guidance to executive leadership across workforce planning, compensation, and employee engagement in a hybrid work environment.

You will lead labor relations under multiple CBAs, oversee benefits and total rewards programs, and champion organizational development,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/related master’s preferred.
• Experience leading HR strategy in a unionized or complex nonprofit environment.
• Certifications in HR are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide HR strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead labor relations across multiple CBAs; act as chief spokesperson in negotiations.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, and total rewards; manage budget and governance.
• Drive talent development, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Ensure HR operations compliance with Federal, NYS and NYC laws.
• Lead HRIS initiatives and analytics to inform executive decisions.
