Grand St. Settlement in New York City seeks its Chief Human Resources Officer to lead HR strategy, operations, and organizational culture across 47 sites and 600+ staff.

Reporting to the CEO, this executive guides recruitment, compensation, workforce planning, succession, and labor relations, partnering with finance and program leaders to scale services while maintaining equity and compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible HR management experience.
• Experience in nonprofit or multi-site organizations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment practices, benefits, leave administration, performance management, and HR compliance.
• Labor relations experience with a unionized workforce is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Translate organizational priorities into HR plans with objectives, timelines, owners, budgets and expected outcomes.
• Lead compensation strategy with the CEO and Finance, including salary structures and market benchmarking.
• Improve use of ADP and related systems for recruitment, records, performance management and reporting.
• Partner with Finance on payroll accuracy and HR operations and service to program teams.
• Oversee benefits and retirement plan administration, audits, and employee communications.
