St. Anthony Foundation is seeking a Chief People Officer to design and lead a comprehensive People function in San Francisco.

This executive will partner with the CEO, Board, and management to shape workforce strategy, leadership development, and organizational culture in a mission-driven nonprofit. The role oversees compensation, benefits, compliance, HR operations, safety, and worker’s compensation, while building robust systems and analytics to support 250 staff and partners with operations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial and Organizational Psychology or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible HR, talent or organizational leadership experience; 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience building HR systems, processes, and infrastructure where absent or underdeveloped.
• Fluency with workforce data and ability to translate it into executive insights.

Responsabilités

• Develop and lead a multi-year people, talent, and workforce strategy.
• Advise CEO, Executive Team, and Board on workforce strategy and risk.
• Coach executives and directors on leadership effectiveness and difficult conversations.
• Build leadership development and succession planning architecture.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, compliance, employee relations, safety, and HR operations.
• Transition the People function to a team-led operating model.
