Job summary

JL Hospitality Management invites an accomplished executive to join as Vice President of People & Culture in Anchorage, Alaska. This role leads HR strategy, develops leaders, ensures compliance, and shapes associate experience across multi-location hotels.

You will partner with the Operating Partner and senior leadership to drive growth, culture, and operational excellence while migrating HR programs and policies to scalability in our expanding portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Executive leadership experience in hospitality or multi-location organizations preferred.
• Proven success leading HR teams and overseeing payroll operations.
• Extensive knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compliance, compensation, and organizational development.
• SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
• Must reside in or relocate to Anchorage, Alaska.
• Ability to travel frequently throughout Alaska and other locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Company's overall Human Resources strategy and vision.
• Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and oversight for HR, Training, and Payroll while developing leaders.
• Champion leadership development, succession planning, and organizational growth.
• Guide employee relations, workplace investigations, and complex employment matters.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll, performance management, and talent development initiatives.
• Partner with operations to support acquisitions, hotel openings, growth, and change management.
• Foster an engaging, inclusive, and people-first culture reflecting company values.
• Develop innovative HR programs, policies, and best practices for long-term success.
