Job summary

Jericho Road Community Health Center in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Chief People Officer to lead human resources across sites with the primary location at 181 Barton.

The role reports to the CEO and drives talent strategy, compensation, benefits, employee relations, learning, and leadership development in a mission-driven, equal-opportunity organization. Travel and global initiatives are possible. Salary range $140,000–$160,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, organizational development, psychology, or related field.
• Significant progressive leadership experience in human resources.
• Experience in nonprofit/healthcare or mission-driven organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for HR and people strategy.
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and performance management.
• Strengthen systems for performance, accountability, recognition, and workforce planning.
• Partner with leaders on complex employee relations matters and ensure compliant practices.
• Oversee HR resources, systems, budget, and team performance using workforce data.
• Lead staff learning and development and leadership development initiatives.
• Support CEO and Executive Team on culture, staff engagement, and organizational capacity.
