Job summary

Financial Center in Indianapolis invites a strategic, senior HR leader to serve as Vice President of People & Culture. You will partner with the CEO and Board, shaping talent strategy, leadership development, and culture initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness and member-focused outcomes.

You will guide talent acquisition, compensation, workforce analytics, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with employment laws and a strong ROI on people programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources, talent management, organizational development, and culture development, with enterprise-wide leadership.
• 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing enterprise strategy and cross-functional teams, preferably in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, OSHA).
• HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR, CCP are strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, coach, and lead high-performing teams.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Advise CEO and Board on culture, talent strategy, executive compensation, leadership development, and succession planning.
• Oversee internal communications and strategic messaging to align employees with priorities.
• Represent Financial Center in community and industry to support growth and member service.
• Manage operating expenses within budgets and drive efficiency.
• Lead enterprise change initiatives and workforce planning to enable strategic priorities.
• Oversee talent acquisition, leadership development, and performance management programs.
• Develop compensation, benefits, and total rewards strategies aligned with market and internal equity.
