Job summary

Lyte in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Head of People to build and lead the People function for its next growth phase. You will report to the CEO and shape organization design, hiring, leadership development, and people systems across the US, Asia, and Europe.

This hands-on executive role requires balancing strategy with execution, building scalable programs, and partnering with executives to drive talent, compensation, and culture as Lyte scales globally.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience with senior leadership in a high-growth technology environment.
• Experience building a People function, or significant portions of one, rather than only operating within mature established systems.
• Experience working closely with founders, CEOs, and executive teams on organization design, workforce planning, leadership, talent, and complex people decisions.
• Experience building or materially improving People programs and infrastructure across areas such as talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, leveling, benefits, HR systems, and retention.
• Strong working knowledge of California and U.S. employment practices and experience handling employee relations and people risk in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Design organization structure and workforce plan with leadership.
• Develop and improve Lyte's People systems and processes to support rapid growth.
• Shape Lyte's talent strategy across hiring, onboarding, performance, development, retention, and engagement.
• Set direction for talent acquisition and partner with internal recruiters and agencies to hire technically skilled and executive staff.
• Develop compensation, benefits, leveling, and equity programs suitable for a growing global technology company.
• Build performance and leadership systems to strengthen accountability and manager effectiveness.
• Guide employee relations, investigations, and compliance across multiple countries.
• Establish employment policies and compliance across the U.S. and other Lyte locations.
• Develop international employment strategy with EOR partners, contractors, and new entities.
• Evaluate HRIS, payroll, benefits, analytics and executive reporting systems.
• Create workforce reporting on headcount, attrition, and staffing needs for leadership decisions.
• Work with leaders to translate business priorities into practical workforce plans.
• Help define Lyte's culture through leadership practices and scalable People programs.
• Serve as trusted resource for employees while moving issues forward.
