Job summary

Draftech International in Miami seeks a Vice President of Engineering to shape and lead the OSP/fiber engineering organization. The role focuses on organizational design, scaling delivery, and aligning engineering with growth objectives for Tier 1 carriers and broadband providers.

You will build standards, manage a distributed team (onshore and offshore), and partner with product, operations, and sales to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while advancing technology adoption and governance

Qualifications

10+ years in telecom OSP/fiber engineering with leadership experience.
5+ years at director/VP level responsible for organizational design and infrastructure.
Proven ability to define engineering strategy and implement scale improvements.
Experience leading large or rapidly scaling engineering teams (100+)

Responsibilities

Define future-state OSP engineering org and supporting infrastructure.
Lead standards, workflows, QA/QC, and governance for scale.
Mentor distributed onshore/offshore engineering teams and develop leaders.
Set KPIs and reporting for engineering performance.
Design interfaces with permitting, PM, construction, product/operations.
Implement onboarding and knowledge management for new markets.
Oversee adoption of design tools (AutoCAD, ArcGIS, GIS) and standardize workflows.
Collaborate with executive leadership and sales to align strategy.
