Job summary

Girls Inc. of Boston and Lynn seeks a Chief Operations Officer in Lynn, MA. This full-time hybrid role oversees operations, program delivery, and systems to advance our mission and growth.

Reporting to the CEO, the COO leads strategy execution, financial health, risk management, and talent development across programs, facilities, technology, and administration. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of nonprofit leadership and a strong commitment to empowering girls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, public administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, youth development, education, human services, or related area.
• 14 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Significant experience supervising senior leaders and managing through other managers.
• Strong financial acumen, budgeting, and resource allocation expertise.

Responsibilities

• Translate the strategic plan into annual priorities, operating plans, measurable goals and accountabilities.
• Oversee financial health, budgeting controls, risk management, and compliance.
• Lead executive leadership and cross-functional initiatives across programs, finance, operations, and development.
• Ensure programs and infrastructure operate as an integrated system aligned with mission.
• Foster a high-performing leadership team and organization-wide culture of accountability and growth.
