Job description

Our client, 15 years, has offered mechanical services and sales for specialty equipment and vehicles in the emergency, tactical and rescue industry. They are a full service facility including onsite refurbishing, new equipment sales, repair and service for customers. Naviga has been retained to identify a dynamic COO to join their team.

Title: Chief Operation Officer
Location: Remote, US

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company’s business goals.
  2. Streamline and enhance business processes, ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Work with the CFO to manage budgets, financial planning, and cost control.
  4. Establish KPIs and metrics to measure and improve company performance.
  5. Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to develop and implement business growth strategies.
  6. Oversee department heads, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  7. Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity.
  8. Ensure company operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  9. Leverage technology and digital solutions to enhance business operations.
  10. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and customers.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Proven experience as a COO or in a senior operational leadership role.
  2. Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
  3. Expertise in process improvement, operational efficiency, and strategic planning.
  4. Experience in scaling businesses, managing cross-functional teams, and driving company growth.
  5. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education
  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
