Achievement First in the United States seeks a Chief Operating Officer to unify and strengthen operations across 41 schools, with emphasis on facilities, enrollment, technology, and risk management.

The COO will codify standards, lead regional partners, and drive disciplined execution while preserving momentum in schools. This executive reports to the CEO and sits on the Executive Leadership Team, guiding a $45 million budget and a broad set of strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of operational leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior executive role.
• Experience leading multi-site operations with accountability for multiple functions.
• Demonstrated success building and improving operational systems.
• Commitment to Achievement First's mission and equity in education.

Responsibilities

• Set networkwide standards and drive performance across AF's decentralized model.
• Lead facilities, enrollment, technology, and essential services portfolios.
• Develop leaders and build organizational capacity with coaching and playbooks.
• Partner with regional executives and external vendors to ensure accountability and results.
• Establish service-level agreements and disciplined execution while maintaining school momentum.
