Achievement First is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to bring clarity and discipline to a complex, multi-state nonprofit network. The COO will codify standards, lead regional partners, and drive reliable, scalable operations across facilities, enrollment, IT, and essential services.

The role reports to the CEO, oversees a $45M budget, and requires on-site leadership with travel across CT, NY, and RI. A strong track record in educational operations and equity is essential.

Formación

• 15+ years of progressively responsible operational leadership, including at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
• Experience leading complex, multi-site operations with accountability for multiple functional areas and senior leadership teams.
• Proven success developing and implementing operational strategies, systems, and improvement initiatives.
• Strong experience managing leaders, building effective teams, and establishing clear expectations and accountability.
• Ability to lead through complex organizational change while maintaining reliable day-to-day operations.
• Experience exercising influence across decentralized or matrixed organizational structures.
• Ability to oversee sophisticated functional areas and external partners, including evaluating performance and ensuring accountability for results.
• Demonstrated skill in strategic problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, executive communication, and relationship development.
• Commitment to Achievement First's mission and advancing educational opportunity and equity.

Responsabilidades

• Set vision and standards for school environments across the network.
• Lead the design and adoption of common operational standards, processes, and accountability mechanisms.
• Own facilities and real estate portfolio, including capital projects and planning.
• Oversee student enrollment and essential school services across the network.
• Direct Information, Technology, and Data portfolio and roadmap for reliability and security.
• Develop operational leaders and scalable playbooks for durable performance.
