Job summary

League of Conservation Voters is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to serve as the organization’s operational steward, providing leadership across finance, HR, administration, and infrastructure for a $150 million nonprofit.

The COO will partner with the President, Executive Team and Board to ensure efficient, values-driven operations and to advance the organization’s mission across 200 staff nationwide.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of professional experience in finance, human resources and operations in advocacy, political or campaign organizations, government or philanthropy.
• At least 5 years serving as COO, CFO, or comparable role of a mid- to-large sized, multi-entity organization.
• Demonstrated track record of leading operational functions to achieve ambitious goals in complex organizations.
• Experience with c3/c4/PAC organizations and translating financial data for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Drive the intersection of operations with the organizational strategy and programs; align and enhance functions across the organization.
• Oversee budgeting processes with the President and SVP of Finance to align with strategic priorities.
• Supervise HR & Administrative Services and cultivate a thriving, inclusive workplace.
• Provide executive oversight of organizational infrastructure, IT resources, systems, and data strategy.
