Clutch is looking for an entrepreneurial, high-impact Chief Operating Officer for a client of ours—a premier, high-performance consulting firm built for businesses that demand excellence. We are seeking a senior executive operator to co-pilot company growth, deepen executive client relationships, and architect the operational foundation required for our next phase of expansion.

About the Opportunity:

This is far from a traditional, behind-the-scenes COO role. As a critical anchor of the executive leadership team and a primary strategic partner to the CEO, you will maintain a heavy outward-facing footprint. You will act as a trusted senior advisor to client leadership, solving complex challenges across customer experience, go-to-market strategy, digital acceleration, and operational execution. Internally, you will translate corporate vision into measurable outcomes, driving financial discipline, cross-functional accountability, and operational scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive Client Strategy & Account Growth: Serve as a high-level strategic advisor to key clients, deeply understanding their industries and business models. Build trusted C-suite relationships, participate in high-stakes strategy sessions, identify expansion opportunities, and transition project-based work into enduring, long-term partnerships.
• Operational Architecture & Execution: Oversee day-to-day internal operations. Translate the CEO's growth roadmap into clear, actionable operating plans, establish robust performance rhythms, and build scalable processes that protect the firm's nimble, entrepreneurial culture.
• Financial Stewardship & Profitability: Partner with executive leadership to manage revenue, forecasting, budgeting, and overall financial health. Track critical service-industry metrics (gross margins, utilization, capacity, and project profitability) to eliminate inefficiencies and boost productivity.
• Team Leadership & Talent Alignment: Mentor department heads and senior leaders, instilling a culture of high performance and rigorous accountability. Partner on workforce planning, org-structure optimization, and professional development to ensure the right people are driving key initiatives.
• Delivery Governance & Resource Management: Ensure the firm consistently delivers exceptional value to clients. Align internal execution with broader business goals, streamline resource allocation, and act as an executive escalation point to safeguard client health and project quality.

What We Are Looking For

• Senior executive leadership experience within a consulting, professional services, marketing, digital, or client-services organization.
• A proven track record of acting as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, expanding accounts through strategic insight rather than traditional sales alone.
• Deep financial and commercial acumen, with a firm grasp of professional services economics, margin optimization, and capacity forecasting.
• An executive presence that commands respect in client boardrooms, paired with a builder's mindset capable of translating high-level strategy into rigorous, accountable operational execution.
