We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee our internal operations, business enablement functions, and organizational effectiveness. This critical executive role will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive operational excellence, enable scalable service delivery, and foster cross-functional alignment to support continued growth and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to define and implement company-wide strategies and multi-year operational plans.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment to ensure internal operations support business objectives, growth initiatives, and a high-performance culture.
  • Champion a data-driven, client-first mindset across the organization.

Business Enablement Oversight

  • Lead and integrate key business support functions to ensure efficient operations and organizational scalability:
  • Human Resources: Oversee talent acquisition, benefits, compliance (FMLA, EEOC), performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Sales Enablement: Manage sales workflows, contract lifecycle, revenue operations, system optimization, and reporting.
  • Business Operations Leadership: Provide strategic oversight of customer-facing operational units responsible for delivering transportation services:
  • Professional Services: Manage implementation and onboarding for new and expanding client projects.
  • Key functions include project management, platform configuration, data migration, user training, and go-live support.
  • Drive operational consistency and client satisfaction during deployment.
  • Service Delivery: Oversee all post-implementation service functions, including technical support, account management, and service quality monitoring.
  • Ensure SLA adherence, continuous service improvement, and client retention.
  • Program Management Office (PMO): Ensure successful program execution through structured project planning, stakeholder engagement, and delivery governance.
  • Business Operations: Ensure accurate and timely payroll, tax compliance, business licensing, and corporate registrations.

Operational Governance

  • Build and maintain operational frameworks to ensure delivery excellence, scalability, and risk mitigation across business units.
  • Collaborate with the General Counsel to manage enterprise risk, regulatory compliance, crisis management, and legal matters.

Performance Management

  • Define and track KPIs to monitor organizational health and team performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data insights, benchmarking, and feedback loops.
  • Deliver regular dashboards and executive-level reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (required).
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience, including 5+ years in a COO or similar executive operations role within a high-growth SaaS, technology, or service-based organization.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling internal operations and enabling business teams through periods of growth.
  • Experience managing HR, sales operations, business operations, and program governance at an executive level.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate high-level vision into practical execution plans.
  • Operational excellence mindset with a deep understanding of systems, processes, and organizational design.
  • Skilled in using KPIs, dashboards, and data analytics for performance management and decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Adept at leading change, building culture, and aligning diverse teams around shared goals.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, scaling systems, and building infrastructure for sustained growth.
