Job description

Join to apply for the Chief Operating Officer role at Avid4 Adventure.

This position reports directly to the CEO and plays a key role in scaling our multistate camp operations, including day camps, overnight camps, and expeditions, to ensure sustainable growth and impact. The COO will oversee operations across finance, marketing, program support, customer service, and HR, driving efficiency and strategic alignment. Responsibilities include developing policies, managing budgets, ensuring customer satisfaction, talent management, strategic collaboration, issue resolution, contract management, process improvement, risk management, operational leadership, planning, data analytics, systems oversight, and cybersecurity.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of managerial experience, strong organizational, leadership, financial, and communication skills, and experience managing diverse teams and budgets. Preferred qualifications include outdoor industry experience, leading remote teams, scaling organizations, multistate operations, and familiarity with EOS or similar systems. Candidates from underserved communities are encouraged to apply.

Additional details: reporting to the CEO, salary $90,000-$120,000 plus bonus, mostly remote with travel, benefits include health insurance, retirement, PTO, and more. Preference for Colorado residents.
