Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

This role reports directly to the CEO and involves leading a team of high-performing professionals to enhance efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the CEO to set and drive organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring objectives.
2. Translate strategic plans into actionable steps for growth, including organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operational planning.
3. Oversee company operations and employee productivity, fostering an inclusive culture that supports team members' development and organizational goals.
4. Ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention strategies.
5. Maintain compliance with national and local business regulations and take necessary actions to address issues.
6. Analyze internal operations to identify and implement process improvements.
7. Develop and execute business strategies aligned with the company's short- and long-term objectives in collaboration with the CEO.
8. Manage operations, HR, and accounting functions, and partner with the CEO on sales management to support near-term growth targets.
9. Oversee capital investments and expenses to meet growth and profitability targets for investors.
10. Monitor performance using tracking software, implement corrective measures when needed, and prepare detailed reports and forecasts.
11. Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Degree in Economics or Business Management. Proven experience in creating and implementing go-to-market strategies, along with supporting operational, financial, and organizational execution. Extensive industry-specific knowledge about import, distribution, and sales of imported food products is required.
