Job summary

Tango Therapeutics is seeking a visionary Vice President, Clinical Development to lead the clinical strategy for vopimetostat from early to late-stage development. You will direct the Clinical Development Plan, drive cross-functional execution, and collaborate with regulatory, translational, and clinical teams to advance transformational cancer therapies.

The role requires MD with oncology Board certification, 14+ years in drug development, and a proven track record in biomarker-driven trials,

Qualifications

• MD with board certification (or eligibility) in Medical Oncology or related specialty.
• 14+ years of oncology drug development experience in biotech/pharma.
• Proven success leading full development programs and NDA/BLA submissions.
• Biomarker-driven oncology trial design experience.
• Experience mentoring physicians and clinical scientists in a matrixed org.
• Deep understanding of oncology drug development, ICH-GCP, FDA/regulatory requirements.
• Strong scientific/clinical judgment integrating diverse data.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Clinical Development strategy for vopimetostat and own the Clinical Development Plan.
• Serve as Clinical Development leader on the Global Program Team and shape program strategy.
• Oversee design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of clinical studies.
• Mentor and develop Medical Directors and Clinical Scientists; foster scientific excellence.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, Biometrics, Pharmacovigilance, and others for program execution.
• Lead regulatory interactions and preparation of protocols, INDs/CTAs, briefing packages, and submissions.
• Interpret emerging data to refine development strategy and inform decisions.
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and external partners.
• Represent Tango at regulatory meetings, congresses, and advisory boards.
• Contribute to publications, abstracts, and presentations.
