Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a Chief of Staff to be the SVP's deputy, driving operational integrity and rapid scaling across Mission Execution. You will translate vision into concrete outcomes, and build operating systems to run multiple complex programs.

The role blends Operator and Ambassador duties—execution cadence, OKRs, and process design, with stakeholder communications and culture advocacy. Hybrid in San Jose, CA; 10+ years in technical ops required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in demanding roles such as engineering program management, business operations in a technical environment, or management consulting focused on technology/hardware.
• Ability to translate high-level strategy into scalable, repeatable processes and lead complex technical initiatives to completion.
• Strong execution focus with operational acumen and ability to build scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Mission Execution leadership rhythm: weekly reviews, milestone tracking, strategic planning.
• Lead OKR process and align technical milestones with company goals.
• Identify bottlenecks and build tools/workflows for concurrent programs.
• Spearhead high-impact, ambiguous initiatives and organizational design projects.
• Act as SVP proxy in key meetings and manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
• Translate updates into compelling executive communications and nurture engineering culture.
