Job description

Description
About the Company

ARC is a well-funded, rapid-growth enterprise technology company. Since launching in late 2021 to serve frontline workers, ARC has become a category-defining device management solution and trusted partner to some of the world's largest enterprises, including Walmart, lululemon, Gap, Inc., ShipBob, and several global leaders in supply chain and logistics. ARC was born out of ChargeItSpot, the consumer-facing tech company that pioneered phone charging solutions starting in 2012.

Through smart lockers integrated with proprietary software, ARC stores, secures, and charges the company-owned handheld devices (Zebra, Honeywell, and others) that frontline workers rely on every day for package scanning, inventory lookup, task management, mobile point of sale, and more.

Clients turn to ARC because managing and maintaining enterprise mobile devices post-purchase is harder than it looks. Devices go missing (25% annually), stop working, or run out of power, costing payroll time, money, and productivity. ARC virtually eliminates these issues, ensuring that devices are functional, charged, and accounted for, while improving productivity and experience for the teams on the ground.

Market demand has been overwhelming. Device management has been a massive unmet need for decades, and ARC is uniquely positioned to solve it, backed by a decade of technical expertise, 8 patents and counting, and real-world experience at scale.

ARC's Mission
  • Minimize Device Waste.
  • Maximize Worker Productivity.
  • Make Life Easier.
ARC's Vision
  • Be the unrivaled leader in physical device management. With more than 25,000 ARC units deployed by 2030, ARC will simplify life for more than 1,000,000 workers every day.
About The Team

At ARC, we surround ourselves with independent thinkers who are detail-oriented and customer-obsessed. Our clients have routinely called us "the most talented team they've ever worked with." We value determination, resourcefulness, imagination, and follow-through. We want people who are ready to get things done.

Our focus is fierce, but it's not all hard work. We take time to get to know each other through a daily game of Jeopardy, meals together, and nights out for karaoke. We operate a hybrid work model, with most team members working in the office a couple of days a week.

Our Core Values
  • We do what we say we will do.
  • Details matter. A lot.
  • Bias for action.
  • Customer obsession.
  • Diversity and authenticity.
  • No ego. Only outcome.
  • Think big.
Requirements
About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner, helping translate company priorities into action and ensuring the organization stays focused on the initiatives that matter most.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive cross-functional priorities, evaluate growth opportunities, strengthen operating discipline, and support Board and investor communications.

The position offers a unique opportunity to gain broad, cross-functional experience and a holistic understanding of the business through work across nearly every function and regular engagement with senior leaders, Board members, and investors. The ideal candidate can move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, bring structure to ambiguity, develop a clear point of view from complex information, and drive accountability across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, helping translate priorities into action and drive execution across the organization.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from definition through execution, establishing clear ownership, milestones, and accountability.
  • Drive alignment across the leadership team by ensuring priorities, decisions, ownership, and follow-through are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Partner with the CEO and Sales leadership to improve commercial effectiveness, including sales operating processes, cross-functional execution, CRM governance, pipeline visibility, and reporting.
  • Partner with the leadership team to identify and advance strategic growth opportunities, including customer expansion, new markets, partnerships, pricing, and other value-creation initiatives.
  • Partner with FP&A and functional leaders to track company-wide KPIs, operational performance, and progress against key strategic and value-creation initiatives.
  • Develop analysis and recommendations to support CEO and leadership team decisions on strategic, operational, and investment priorities.
  • Synthesize cross-functional performance, business results, and strategic priorities for monthly operating reviews, Board meetings, and investor communications.
  • Help manage key external relationships, including investors, advisors, partners, and other strategic stakeholders.
  • Support partner/client meetings, fundraising efforts, and other high-impact company activities.
  • Identify and help solve operational challenges that impede execution, accountability, or productivity.
  • Take on additional high-priority initiatives as company needs and priorities evolve.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, strategic finance, or another highly analytical and cross-functional role.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand unfamiliar business issues, develop a clear point of view, and translate analysis into action.
  • Strong business judgment and broad commercial acumen, with the ability to evaluate strategic, operational, financial, and organizational considerations.
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from definition through execution.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to structure ambiguous problems, interpret data, and develop practical recommendations.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate clearly and credibly with senior leaders, Board members, investors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into concise executive and Board-level materials.
  • High level of ownership, organization, and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality work in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority, build trust across functions, and drive accountability while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive, confidential, or incomplete information.
  • Willingness and ability to move fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Flexibility to accommodate periodic travel and occasional evening or weekend requirements.
Qualifications For All Team Members

You think several steps ahead. You are relentless, strategic, and a long-term thinker. You believe the details are important and so you get them right. You are a fast learner. You care about getting to the best outcome, and do not focus on being right or wrong.

This role may be performed remotely within the U.S., with availability during East Coast business hours. ARC is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA and operates an office-optional work environment.
