Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks a Physician Radiologist Service Chief to lead medical imaging interpretation for adult Veteran patients across the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. The role requires board certification, current US license, and proven imaging leadership.

You will mentor residents and fellows, guide the Imaging Service across sites, and ensure quality improvement, timely reporting, and adherence to VA policies and CME requirements.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligible for appointment
• MD or DO degree from approved school
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US
• Residency in radiology with board eligibility/certification
• Familiarity with imaging modalities and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Provide expert radiology interpretation for adult Veterans
• Mentor radiology residents and fellows
• Guide imaging service operations across sites
• Coordinate with chiefs and staff on clinical and administrative matters
• Ensure timely reporting and communication of findings
• Oversee protocol development and quality assurance in Imaging Service
