WoodmenLife in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Vice President of Operations to provide strategic leadership and oversee execution of all operating functions supporting the life insurance and annuity business.

The role drives operational excellence across new business processing, policyholder services, customer contact center, claims services, and TPA management, collaborating with senior leaders to align resources, optimize processes, and deliver outstanding service and financial results.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
15+ years of leadership experience in insurance operations, preferably life insurance.
Strong strategic thinking and ability to align operational priorities with goals.
Proven success leading large cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the operational strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
Build and lead a high-performing team with coaching and development.
Establish KPIs and SLAs; monitor performance against targets.
Drive process optimization, automation, and AI initiatives to enhance effectiveness.
Oversee New Business Support, Policyholder Services, Contact Center, Claims, and TPA management.
Manage financials, budgets, and vendor relationships; ensure regulatory compliance.
