Job summary

Canopy seeks a VP of Operations to own the end-to-end operational engine for procurement, movement, storage, and delivery across all channels. Lead a team across NYC and Hong Kong, reporting to the Company President, to scale fulfillment, planning, and logistics for a direct-to-consumer, B2B, wholesale, and Amazon business.

The role requires 10+ years in consumer-products operations, retail shipping experience, and a proven track record building cross-functional processes and AI-enabled systems

Qualifications

• 10+ years of operations experience in consumer products with leadership of fulfillment, inventory, supply chain, and logistics.
• Direct experience shipping into mass retail accounts (Target, Ulta or similar) with routing guides, EDI, chargeback management, and compliance rigor.
• Proven ability to manage multi-node 3PL networks balancing cost, speed, and service levels across coasts.

Responsibilities

• OMNI-CHANNEL FULFILLMENT: Own fulfillment across all channels including DTC, B2B, wholesale and Amazon.
• INVENTORY: Manage inventory across locations with demand-based planning and SKU setup.
• COGS: Handle COGS and inventory-related financial reporting with Finance on landed cost and margins.
• PLANNING: Lead demand planning and procurement across channels translating forecasts into POs.
• PROCUREMENT: Coordinate with international production teams on full manufacturing cycle from PO to ready date.
• LOGISTICS: Own inbound, import logistics, customs, freight forwarding, and outbound freight.
• 3PL MANAGEMENT: Oversee multi-3PL storage and fulfillment network across coasts.
• OPS SYSTEMS: Build and operate an AI-native tech stack including ERP and planning tools.
• CROSS-FUNCTIONAL OVERSIGHT: Coordinate with Product, Sales, Finance, Marketing, CX.
• TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Build, lead, and develop the operations team in NYC and Hong Kong.
• PROCESS AND PLAYBOOKS: Establish SOPs and playbooks to scale operational knowledge.
• STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP: Partner with leadership on operational strategy and capacity planning.
