Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a supervisor to manage daily operations of the occupational health clinic. You will lead clinical support staff, train new personnel, and ensure privacy and medical records compliance.

Liaisons with EAP, workers' comp, benefits, and local physicians are part of the role. You will oversee OSHA surveillance, marine evaluations, travel, and off-site monitoring with flexible scheduling to meet clinic needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with medical-adjacent background required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, medical assisting, OR ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and supervisory roles.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a medical setting (clinic environment).
• Minimum 5 years in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the occupational health clinic.
• Mentor staff and perform performance reviews.
• Develop and conduct staff training and education.

Overview

Supervisory position requires direct support and supervision of clinical support staff for occupational health clinic reporting to the Manager of Occupational Health and Audiology.

Manages daily operations of the occupational health clinic under the direction of the Manager of Occupational Health & Audiology. In collaboration with the medical leadership team, reviews policies and procedures and provides ongoing training to the clinical support staff. Manages staffing schedule for the clinic. Ensures that all medical records and privacy standards are followed. Orient and train new staff members

Liaisons with the Employee Assistance Program, Workers Compensation Facilitator, Benefits office and local physicians. Responsible for medical and emergency protocols including infection control and blood borne pathogen issues. Must be capable and responsible with programmanagement ofOSHA Medical Surveillance, Marine Evaluations, Travel, and Off-Site Monitoring.

Staggered start and end times to interact with all staff. Flexibility in scheduling to meet clinic operation needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a medical-adjacent background
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, medical assisting, OR a graduate of an accredited program for nurse practitioners, including preceptorship OR a graduate from a physician assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
• Certification by the applicable professional organization
• Experience with an electronic medical record
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• 5+ years of experience in a medical setting
