Dayzim seeks an experienced Fire Chief to lead Fire and Emergency Services at Hawthorne Army Depot. You’ll direct protection, EMS, hazmat, rescue, and readiness, with authority over captains, firefighters, EMTs, and staff. On-site in Hawthorne, NV, you’ll shape policies, budgets, and personnel decisions.

The role requires NV/DoD certifications, security clearance eligibility, and a strong track record in leadership, compliance, and emergency response excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• State of Nevada or DoD Fire Officer I and II certs required.
• 5+ years firefighting with 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Valid Nevada Class B CDL with F endorsement.
• Ability to obtain government security clearance.
• Must secure and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Fire and Emergency Services operations for all response activities.
• Plan and coordinate fire prevention, training, and readiness programs.
• Direct staffing, training, performance, and employment decisions.
• Develop and manage branch budgets and expenditure reports.
• Advise depot management on protection and preparedness matters.
• Coordinate with officials and stakeholders for joint readiness.
